This chapter was founded by Kimberly Ann Wright in 2002 and was chartered by Michelle Townsend, Arkeatha Hawkins, LaTisha Butler, Charmaine Jackson, Savory Hubbard, Carol Cherich, Yvette Arce, and Christine Lumley.

While AK is based in Maryland, its members currently represent the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Northern VA. We meet every third Sunday in a designated area across the D.M.V., and we love meeting up with our sisters to not only take care of business but also to have a good time. We are known as the "crafts" chapter and at any given time, our creative sisters come up with ideas for gifts as well as purchases.

We are in an area rich with history and home to a number of military installations. With this, it is part of our goal to fulfill a portion of our sorority's mission - having a Sigma Phi Psi sister at every military location. So, do not be surprised if you see one of us near you.
